Our History

Having envisaged the growth and the need of the locality,  one afternoon of 25.06.1979,  three  persons namely Guptan A. B, Reva Shetty B. Y, Nagarajan.S sat together to discuss the requirement of services in the new locality.  They deliberated and arrived at a conclusion to form a welfare trust called "Shantiniketan Educational and welfare Trust". The trust got registered and the above three persons became the "Founder Trustee".  In the above period Mr.Guptan A. B, a Mechanical Engineer serving as a Senior Production Manager,  Mr.Reva Shetty B. Y, a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, serving as a Senior Production Manager  and Mr. Nagarajan. S a Statistical Inspection Control Engineer working as a Quality Control Manager  were all serving in Mico.
Three of them with their hard work brought out the present platform of SHANTINIKETAN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

Growth

The Trust in addition to its corpus funds, mobilized funds from Philanthropists and the Public and purchased approximately 9000 sqft for school campus located at BTM/Mico layout.  After getting the school plan approved, constructed the school building in the year 1982. 
There after we started a Nursery and Primary building in an adjacent building. There after we purchased one acre of converted land in Bilekahalli area constructed a college building. We started a school also in the same compound. We also purchased another 3 acres to develop a school and luxurious play grounds for all needs.
There after made steady progress. Our watch words have been 3 'D's  i.e. DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION AND DYNAMISM.

Profile   

Established the office and obtained permission from Govt.  of Karnataka to start the school; developed subsequently a modern school building with all the facilities like spacious class rooms, equipments, talented staff, co-curricular activities, laboratories, sports, Indoor games; A full-fledged Computer and Electronic labs, Basic Mechanic and Engineering Drawing and Tailoring. The facilities provided are sufficient to accommodate a full class strength of 40 students at a time. The above facilities are imparted to all students without collecting any additional fee. The qualitative superiority has over shadowed the quantitative aspect, in view of the unique and well structured modern management adopted by the institution. The institution provides subsidies in Education, books, uniforms etc., to the needy and bright students. Today we impart Education from Pre-Nursery to 10^th standard and a college of Pre University and Degree
