Faculty

The school has well qualified, competent and experienced teachers with years of teaching experience. The faculty members are encouraged to upgrade their skills and update their knowledge on a regular basis and are often deputed for refresher courses both within and out of the Institute.
Besides, It is mandatory that the teachers undergo at least one training session in a year in areas such as teaching methodologies, use of technology in class and such related subjects to improve the academic standards of the school.
Development Department :
This department has a crucial role to play in helping us meet our goal of 'Success For All'. Student development will have a range of responsibilities within the school.
At the SEI we strive to provide for individual needs and to offer equal opportunities for all. We recognize, the children who respond to learning opportunities differently and progress at different rates. We have a team of staff who works in classroom with subject teachers, helping to make the work accessible to all students. As far as possible we try to meet individual needs through the mainstream curriculum and provide 1:1 or small group tutorials to help children to overcome specific problems.
The SEI will be running a special program for our particularly gifted or talented students. This will include special events, 'master classes', as well as a personal mentor to monitor progress and to help them in the most challenging of targets.
Behaviour support:
As in any school, a small number of students may from time to time behave in a way that is unacceptable to the school. At the SEI we believe that students should be punished when they fail to meet our high standards, but we also believe we should take steps to ensure that potential problems for the future are dealt earlier. Any student who has behavior difficulties is allocated to a behaviour modification program tailored to his/her needs. When appropriate, a student will be withdrawn from mainstream lessons until the school can be sure that there will be no further disruption to the smooth running of lessons. |
