Facilities

The school has spacious independent premises with excellent classrooms, making the environment pleasant and learning process interesting. The limited strength in each class facilities personalized attention to the students in a homely atmosphere. An excellent team of well qualified teachers with commitment and dedication make the learning process simple, easy and interesting. We have a big play ground and equipments to play various games and sports. Apart from P T teachers to get an extra support we have special coaches for each game such as Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Cricket, etc , which has made the students to give excellent performance.

N.C.C [National Cadet Corps] :  We have a recognized and awarded officer to train the cadets. We are pleased to have the Officer amongst us who has exceptional devotion to duty and has rendered service of high order and thus enhancing the image of National Cadet Corps and wining laurels for Karnataka State.

Our Cadets have received Best Cadet award, Best Firer and have represented Pre-Republic Day Parade. They have won several prizes and appreciation from various organizers.

Scouts and Guides : We have qualified and recongnised captain, Flock Leaders, Cub and Scout Masters. The cubs and bulls are trained for various proficiency Badges.

The Scouts and Guides are trained for “Rajya Puraskar” Awards. Our students have won many prizes and applause in the various competition held in camps.

Karate: Qualified black belt masters are conducting the Karate training for One hour every day in our school after the school hours. They have participated in several competitions and won several medals and prizes.

Dance and Music - We also have Dance and Music classes which are conducted twice a week for one hour and thirty minutes after school hours by well qualified and experienced teachers.

Club Activities

Students are given exposure to various subjects and to bring out their hidden talents according to their interest we have divided them into different Clubs to name a few like Science Club, Maths Club, Literary Club, Arts and Crafts Club. This enables the students to be at their best and helps them to win many prizes and accolades from the dignitaries.

Literary Club: In this club students are helped by the teachers to prepare them selves to compete in Quiz, Essay writing, Debate, etc which helps the students to come out in flying colour.

Interact Club: We are indeed fortune to have ROTARY CLUB Bangalore South East 3190, as our sponsors for Interact club consisting of 50 members and was launched in the year 2005. We have never looked back since then.

The interactors had an opportunity to attend the Ryla program, which enlightens their interpersonal skill, communicative and leadership skills. This inturn was explained to other students which helped the students to develop the various skills.

The interactors were fortunate to listen to Dr.Abdul Kalam, unfolding his vision 2020 in Renaissance 2007, youth empowerment and student qualities.

The interactors have projected the projects like “Each one teach one”, “Caring and Sharing”, “Conserve Electricity”, “Health is wealth”, “Charity begins at home” Now we have stepped into 4th year with new rays of hope and bright ideas and various projects to be performed.

Library:
The library is the heart of any learning institution. We have 1500 books that cover a panoramic spectrum of objects to satisfy the urge to learn and over come curiosity that is so natural in the child. The Library is constantly acquiring new titles  up to date and also subscribes various periodicals and journals.

Laboratories:
The school is equipped with Physics, Chemistry , Biology, computer and Educational Technology Lab.
Educational Technology Lab is introduced to enhance the knowledge of the students which enables them to come out with constructive and creative ideas and to practice practical activities in mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The specialty of this lab is that apart from Charts, Models, Activity sheets we have MANIPULATIVES, GEOMETRY SKETCH PAD and PROJECTOR-ACER.

Electronic and Electrical Lab:We teach Fundamentals, types of Semi conductors, Electronic devices, Transistors, Diodes, Resistors, capacitors, Fundamentals of AC/DC circuits and all measuring instruments. Repair of Iron Box, Mixie, Fan, Heaters and other household equipments are also taught.

Tailoring: We have qualified staff to teach Tailoring. We teach tailoring and embroidery to all female students in view of their professional, social and family needs. This we have done so that at the end of the SSLC they will be able to know the basic needs of stitching and Embroidery.

Basic Mechanical and Engineering Drawing:
This training and teaching helps the students to develop in the field of Engineering Drawing and Mechanics. This learning has helped all Shantiniketan students in the front row amongst the other  SSLC out going children.

 The state-of-the-art computer laboratory is an exciting platform for the children to learn the latest software applications and hardware. A dedicated Internet connection provides 24 hours net access to source the websites for educational materials. Computer sessions and Internet access are monitored and supervised by computer experts who aid and guide the children through the sessions.

Computer Education is compulsory for all students from Pre-Nursery. We have introduced the latest in Computer-based learning systems for younger children. This is a comprehensive solution to the challenge of meeting the varied levels of learning needs commonly encountered in every classroom. Being a multimedia system equipped with educational software covering a wide gamut of subjects from mathematics to English, Science, History and array of other disciplines.

Audio Visual Room / Computer Languages
Audio visual Room and modem :
We have well equipped 13 labs consisting of 22 systems to be shared by only 40 students with LAN network. With educational packages in languages  and all core subjects are exposed to the students to meet challenges in learning with not much  effort. The School has made syllabus teaching software from P N to X standard.

State of ART comp Lab:
This lab is an exiting platform to learn all computer languages through internet connection 24hrs access to source webeducated materials. Can ensure the knowledge by interactive discussion with expert teachers. This develop verbal and Technical skills. This lab is also used for continuous teacher training program and evaluation of children.

Transportation:      
Since there is a huge demand for the children to be educated in Shantiniketan School from distant places. We have 15 Buses of our own and hired 8 BMTC buses to cater over 5 KM and beyond. This assistance is by paying normal charges.

Canteen :
School provides canteen facility for students in a modern and hygienic environment and makes sure that quality food is served at a reasonable price, which provides a congenial atmosphere for the students.
